Lots of energy but struggled 2nd half & should of come off but pep doesn’t trust new midfielders so no blame on Lewis

Do you think he’s good enough to play midfield for Man City ? I know pep does I get that, but asking your opinion as that’s what the game is about. We have Phillips, kovacic and Nunes who should be playing ahead of him.

Tidy enough, Scored a goal can't be unhappy with his own performance. If we had attackers that were actually creating chances there wouldnt be a problem with just being tidy but when were getting nothing from those ahead of him then we probably need a bit more dynamism from his position. Not comparing him to Gundo, that would be seriously unfair but its a similar position.

Obvious problem is still his physicality, that's not going away, if he doesn't grow which seems increasingly unlikely now or doesn't drastically learn to handle himself much better he just isn't going to make it. It's far too easy to bully him.

Agreed. Surprised at the criticism. I can't remember him doing anything that put us in real danger, all while bagging a goal and creating the most chances according to Fotmob.

I saw glimpses of a midfield maestro today dictating the play, and I am not a fan :)

He might have created more if Bernardo hadn't ignored most of his forward runs. The one time he passed it resulted in Rico's pull back that Rodri should have finished early on.

Just had a look at your posts and every one is negative, slating players and management, according to you none of our players are good enough. That says everything about you, you're not a proper blue and if you are you're a jcl. Your opinion means fuck all.

Was there in 99 pal. Have watched many a game, just frustrated like any other city fan as to what is being served up. I think Rico is decent doing the right back into midfield role, just not a midfielder at this level. I do think our recruitment in recent years has been poor though. We use to have Aguero, Silva, Sane, Vinnie, Yaya, Tevez, Dzeko, Nasri, Sterling, Fernandinho, Zabaleta, Gundogan, Mahrez, all on form start today. They are city level players And unfortunately Lewis, Alvarez, Kovacic, Phillips, Doku (50/50), Nunues, are not.
