I was at the game and thought Lewis did nothing of note . When he receives the ball he mostly passes it short, often backwards. He can't tackle, no pace, no vision and can't pass between the lines. Offers us very little but runs about a lot. Not good enough now and i doubt he ever will be.

Positionally as a defender he’s poor, never anticipates where the winger is, never stops the cross, too busy looking where rest of defence is rather than dealing with his man. Add that to all the other bits you said, just not good enough.

It's not really his fault if Pep keeps playing him there, but isn't a defender in any shape or form. Each time i see him on the team sheet at right back, my heart drops.
The amount of times we watch as he chases the attacker due to being too far forward is fucking annoying. It's like watching someone running in treacle.
What Pep thinks he adds to the team in that position i'll never know.

The big problem is Pep is destroying Rico's reputation and maybe his confidence. He's a young player trying his best.
Surely we have an academy player better suited to the role?

Plenty of very average players got loads of trophies at the rags before sliding down the league. He did alright yesterday and seems a good kid. Don’t think it’s being unkind to say he’s not good enough for where we want to be though.
