And anyone thinking Pep can’t make mistake, let’s remember Mendy

That clown was here for five seasons
Was injured mostly, but once he was back Pep was pushing him in starting lineup and he was making and making a lot of mistakes

Then we were lucky Police arrested him, otherwise Pep would continue to do so for years.

With the caveat that he's a kid playing in a struggling team, out of position, with no midfield cover, that was shit.

Still not sure what his long-term future is. He lacks the strength to hold up the ball and is weak in the tackle, and while he's always tidy higher up the pitch, and generally has decent positioning, he's probably not technical enough to be a creative player for us. He reminds me a bit of Zinchenko. Playing full back because he's technically decent but not decent enough to play higher up.

Good goal though.

How were we gonna sell someone on big money on a long contract who was constantly injured?

Chatting out of your arse.

Think we need to loan him out. Quite impossible considering our insane decision to go with the smallest squad in the league, combined with many aging players struggling to even play once every other week (not to mention twice a week). But if a miracle happens and the club decides it might not be such a stupid idea to maybe have some options on the bench I think a loan would do him well. There is a player in him and he can become something. But right now with us it feels like he is getting worse every week. Playing regularly for a Leicester half a season or something could to wonders for him.
To who? I don’t think the queue for taking on a weak midget, who is neither a defender or a midfielder, will encircle the Etihad.

Goal aside, he was shite again. Outmuscled in every duel and loses the ball way too often. Not a threat offensively, and a liability defensively. Needs a good rest. We’re putting way too much responsibility on a 20yo. He’d never play for City or England if he wasn’t a very talented player, but last couple weeks/months hasn’t been good enough

Don’t think he’d get in leicesters team

Wrote one example in my post. I dont think there will be any problems in loaning out a 20 year old versatile English International on low salaries. Half the league would probably be interested in taking him.

I think that’s well put. A good summary and comparison

I'd drive down to London myself and pick Zinchenko up if it meant him replacing Lewis in the side.
