Well, that was obviously the implication. He's doing what pep wants, presumably, it just has very glaring drawbacksI think you need to take this up with Pep, not Rico.
Certain City fans have always been like this. I remember years ago, maybe 1983, saying to a blue I knew that Neil McNab had been playing really well , this lad looked at me and stated that he had but he still didn't like him and never would. I remember thinking that that was a very strange .There was a bloke from Burnley (claimed to be Sunday League referee) who stood near us in the Kippax most games. He had a massive downer on David White. White couldn't do a single thing right in his eyes, even if he played an absolute blinder and scored a hattrick.
Similar to some of the posters on here (other player threads too), who just can't seem to find anything positive to say about a particular player. It's just weird.
Surely you have noticed after all this time that our full-backs do not occupy strict, defensive positions.continues to get caught up the pitch and jogs back slowly as we get countered. unsustainable. either he stays right back and plays right back or he becomes a midfielder.
I kept an eye on the match thread last night and anytime Rico did anything good in the game it seemed to get largely ignored. There was a bloke from Burnley (claimed to be Sunday League referee) who stood near us in the Kippax most games. 95% our games are front door games. So he is great almost all the time. He's great when its a front foot game. Still a little suspect at times defensively but sometimes great (Chelsea game). He's still very young and his performances should be expected to be erratic. I imagine he will be a midfielder as he learns more.
Pep doesn't agree with you.Rico is currently OK. Mostly tidy on the ball. Doesn't present a big scoring threat; passing isn't spectacular. On defense, gets bullied; mostly gets into position, but then fails, somehow, to stop crosses a lot of the time.
He's young, and may develop.
Right now, he's squad-player level.
