Deserved to be on the bench at least. Especially after playing a big part in us getting to the final.

In my eyes disgraceful from pep the way he’s been treated
I’m not really arsed to be honest mate. He’s set for life, will have a good career somewhere and isn’t good enough for where we need to get back to. It’s not a kids team and sentiment has probably been holding us back this past year. I’m more pissed off he started at Southampton last week.

He doesn’t deserve more minutes here. It can’t be just given on a plate because he came through the academy. He has to earn it and his performances haven’t justified him getting any serious game time. He’s a bang average footballer, who more often than not completely disappears in games. He will be sold and rightly so.
He may be bang average but he’s more knowledge of the English game that Claudio Echeverri I’m sorry. Even if he wasn’t involved to be dropped entirely for a debutant is massively disrespectful. A poor show

The inclusion of Echeverri was probably the only thing Pep got right today, though. Based on his showing, of course.

Neither are good enough.

Will always wish the academy lads well but the rebuild needs to be brutal.
Whether they're good enough or not shouldn't be the point.

A local lad not making the bench after playing a big part in us getting there, for a player who hasn't played a minute, is in bad taste, and sends a horrible message to the rest of the academy, but Pep has treated the academy like dog shit since he arrived, so maybe I shouldn't be angry nor surprised.

I get your argument re disrespect but McAtee had the chance to cement his place in the cup final squad last week. He got a start at Southampton and was completely anonymous. It’s likely the only thing he did cement, was the end of his City career.

I’m not saying the lad shouldn’t have been involved. How many players make their debut in an FA Cup final whilst 1-0 down? Mcatee has played a lot more, he should have been involved

Is McAtee a difference-maker though bud? I’m honestly not sure he is.
