I've said with a few players, the CL is a great stage for players to make a name for themselves and get used to being a first team player. Slower pace and a lower bar for fouls so you can go and express yourself and gain confidence that can transfer to the league. A few fringe players have impressed in the CL and its been a platform for them, hopefully the same with James. His workrate and movement can't be questioned and I think he's very good at mixing his tempo up. Just needs to make sure he gets on the ball more as he was repeatedly ignored against Spurs and other than one lovely turn to break forwards didn't get involved much.
