Shame he seems to come on when the rest of the team is dead set on not attacking anymore. Palmer had it similar but was impatient on the ball which led to him not being trusted. McAtee seems to be all for the keep ball tactic which may stand him in good stead for Pep’s good books.

It's taken a long time for McAtee to start getting a chance again with Pep after the Feyenoord debacle (not all his fault, obviously). Not much of a run out today when the team was set on seeing the game out. Needs to be given his chance soon and presumably will start in the Cup.

Not all his fault? None of that Feyernoord game was McAtee’s fault! Just because he was brought on doesn’t mean any of those three goals were hit fault! The defence (Josko) totally imploded.

None of the Feyenoord game was his fault in my view and it’s incredibly harsh to judge a young player on 20 minutes after not playing in months

Agreed on the goals but he had a pretty terrible time after being brought on, couldn't keep the ball, couldn't pass it to a teammate, got booked after losing possession carelessly. I was hoping he'd start today and hope he does so next Saturday.

He got booked for pulling the keeper back. He didn’t lose possession when he got booked?

I’ve just had a look at the stats from that game and his pass completion was 85% compared to Kev’s whopping 65%
McAtee was dispossessed once, Kev twice.

Out of the subs that came on he wasn’t the worst.

Shame he only got10 mins, shame Pep subbed Kovacic from midfield first so Ilkay was the more likely sub for that role

None of the goals were his fault. If anyone is to blame it’s Gvardiol who completely shit himself for two goals.

He's got to keep going for the season. He won't go anywhere in January.

With kdb playing more, Bobb returning, savinhos form and Doku lurking, it's going to continue to be really challenging for mcAtee, but the more eye catching cameos, the better his chances. He gets a start against Salford, he needs to impress.

Nobody would blame him.
I'm not his biggest fan and wouldn't mind him being sold but after his cameo at Leicester, he deserved to start yesterday.
Think he leaves in summer.
For him to be off other clubs have to pursue him, and they are...

I think he will go, especially if we buy again.

It must be tempting for him looking at the way Palmer has become a household name after being relatively unknown outside City.

It will be interesting to see the team City put out against Salford ?
Hopefully, at least 4 Academy players start, obviously including McAtee.
Grealish and Nunes also need a full game.
Unfortunately, don't think Pep will start those 6 players and some of the tired more established players will be in the starting eleven.

Been sent a message by a Fulham supporting mate to say he's heard they are looking at a loan deal for him. Not sure how I'd feel about that but suppose it would be at least Premier League experience for him if it happens

It would be the end of his career at city. He’s had enough loan moves now. If he can’t get a chance now when would he?

We'd be classed as slow learners to make the same mistake yet again. I don't blame other clubs for trying. Who else sells budding superstars for a fraction of their value.
Those getting happy over pure profit over sale of academy stars don’t realise that cost to replace them trumps all profit . Eg Phillips 94 Nunes Wages + Fees is more than sufficient to cover all pure profit
