The athletes that are the best in their sport also rarely feel satiated and often don’t actually feel like the best at it, just as geniuses often think of themselves as knowing very little (because they are constantly aware of the infinite amount of info they don’t actually know or understand).

It’s the sport version of the reverse Dunning-Krueger effect.
