can`t wait to see him playing in a city shirt! Hopefully he gets off and running against the dippers.

the fact that the moment he came to us the media started talking about exit clauses etc show how much fear there is amongst the established elite ......I think it was about 24 hrs before there was the first report that he would be off to Madrid within a season or two...

the fear is very real

Haaland is so keen to get out of City at the earliest possible opportunity ,that he is wearing City gear whilst on holiday ! something i dont think i have ever seen another player do .

Mate, you peppered the Haaland transfer thread with your predictions of the buyout clause being unimportant because he'd following the money, him going to united, then changed to Real Madrid and also Pep managing a national side at Euro 2024.

Give us your lottery numbers so I can avoid any overlaps.

I've seen people excitedly tipping him to score 40, 50, even 60 goals next season. I know he's good, and I'm excited too, but I think we're getting ahead of ourselves a bit. He still is young, and he'll take a fair while in adapting to a style of play that doesn't actually jive well with how he himself operates.

At Dortmund, he was burdened with very little defensive responsibility. He was allowed to stand on the shoulder of the last man and wait for the ball to come to him. He wasn't expected to come deep, interchange with the wingers and attacking midfielders, and slide his teammates in with throughballs. That's something he'll need to learn.

He'll also have to learn to operate with considerably less space. German clubs all defend on the halfway line, be they Bielefeld or Bayern. Haaland generally has 60 yards to run behind into, and barely sees the kind of deep-sitting defensive lines that we usually face in a weekly basis.

I disagree. His movement in the box is world class and that is what will get him his goals at City. I've watched him plenty of times where you think he is completely marked and then he makes a perfectly timed run, bullies the defenders and frees up some space for himself to score. With the quality of player we have in Kev, Grealish, Foden etc. feeding him he will not be short of goals at all. He is not a player that needs space to run into, that is just one side of his game. I haven't seen a striker as good as Haaland in the box in a long long time.

However when that move does materialise you won't see reports of him being off after a day, you won't see agent fees and wages quoted as part of the overall price and you won't see it questioned whether he will fit in or not. The move will be celebrated rather than questioned

I guess some of our fans believe he's an actual robot lol.

15 goals first season would be a success in my books.

15 goals would not be a success, ridiculous to suggest that as similar stats to the likes of Zaha. If the club expected that contribution they would not be letting the likes of Jesus/Sterling leave so easily.
