He’s getting better every game for us. You can see in glimpses that he’ll be unstoppable on his day.

That said, I think the worst thing about his performances so far has been his finishing. That sounds mad considering he’s got 3 goals in 3 games, but he’s missed quite a few excellent chances.

Hopefully, it won’t be long before he is firing on all cylinders.
I disagree on his finishing. No top goalscorers in the world have 100% conversion rate. Even Salah or Kane etc, misses quite a few golden chances on occasions.

If there's an area for improvement, I'd say it's his involvement in the overall play, but he's clearly getting better at that every passing game.

Could of easily had a hat trick again. Tbh we need to stop expecting him to score every chance but he’s incredible

yeah it`s a scary thing thinking he could have had 3-4 goals today and we were poor for half the game?? I love him and the strength and pace he has is ridiculous!

I think people are going to get frustrated as most feel that we need to find Haaland’s early runs in behind more often, but it’s actually going to happen less often, not more.

Here’s Pep saying that basically, with Phil and Haaland both wanting to go forwards, we attacked too fast and exposed ourselves to the counter. Pep doesn’t want these attempted through balls to Haaland. He wants passes to the wingers, who then hold onto the ball (what Grealish gets criticised for) and then passes back into midfield. Grealish is doing exactly what Pep wants, it’s just that fans don’t understand what makes the team solid and what doesn’t make us solid (like yesterday). If we play slow and to some… boring… then we are unstoppable.

Interesting quotes. How then do we best utilise the best counter attacking no 9 in the world? I'm sure I heard Pep talking about Haaland's development that he needs to learn to live in the 'small spaces'. His goal yesterday was perhaps more typical of how Pep sees him operating.

IMO if there is an area he can improve on it talking his team mates into spotting his runs and then playing a pass for that run. In the few games he`s played its been crying out to release the ball early into the space between and behind the defense.

That’s often a rhythm and he’s a big lad with big legs to get a rhythm into and our pre-season was bobbins.
