He has a hell of a lot to improve to be fair , which shows just how special this guy is.

His heading is appalling for a big unit, first touch inconsistent and he often goes missing.

For a player of his age and if he continues to work and keep his hunger he will be the best striker football has seen.

When you see what he can do when he runs with the ball - bulldozing defenders, leaving them for dead with his pace, it does make me want to see more of him in the build up play. He's such a unit that he's pretty much unplayable when the ball comes into him. If he can keep improving that element of his game, which I'm sure he will be working on, then there's no stopping him. As a team we will benefit significantly if he starts to drop in and pick up the ball, because he's such a target for the opposition defence it will leave space for others. I'm looking forward to seeing him against Van Dijk this weekend. Hopefully he ties him up and dominates him so he's not in position to deal with the space for others. We almost want Haaland to be the decoy and take Van Dijk out of the game.

So the sound bite from Erlings Champions League interview will focus on his comment that you never know what’s going to happen in the future, which is entirely correct.
However, every red top and other media outlet will lead with something like,
’Haaland hints at City exit if Real Madrid/Barcelona etc come calling.’
The lad made it clear that he is very happy at City but watch his words be misconstrued.

I'm inclined to agree which is ridiculous really. He's a joke of a striker but I always feel like he could offer more but I do think that's down to Pep's tactics and how the team are told to utilise him as opposed to Haaland's actual ability.

The one time we have purposely used him as a focal point was Luton away and he ran the show with Kev. Same against Arsenal at home last season. When he's asked to do it and the gameplan is all about him, he's fantastic at it. Shame we don't see it more often.

Agree on his heading, though. Also wish he'd stop just venturing to the far post for every cross and mix the game up a bit. Aguero/Dzeko used to score a silly amount of goals by leaving defender's flat footed and getting in front of them for crosses.

Van Dijk is a past-master at giving a strong two-handed shove in the back. Something no referee, in any game, has ever noticed!

For large parts of the game he looks bored and frustrated . I'm pretty sure Pep is using him as a scarecrow to attract defenders so other more skilful players can take advantage,. Only problem is that means the box is very congested and the room to exploit is much reduced barring a couple of wonder goals like the Derby.
