Never let anyone tell you Kane is a better striker than this lad

Haaland is a better goalscorer, and when he's not scoring he is creating space for his teammates, making runs, troubling defences etc etc

All Kane can do is pass a ball better and 90% of the time he's affecting the balance to while making those passes.

England would be a force to be reckoned with if he was up front

I'm very excited to see a defence try and work out which person to double mark out of the game when it's Savinho, Doku, Haaland and Foden popping up across the front. Really think Haaland will get some room to breath this season.

Was he off form?

He won the golden boot while missing 2 months of the season, then you have to factor in a bit of leeway for recovery.

He got 27 goals in 31 league games. It's still ridiculous really.

I think people are a bit too blinded at the start he made here. He was on course for 90 goals in a season or something, if he carried on scoring like he did in his first month, but it's just not realistic, it had to even itself out at some point. People see that as being off form when in reality it's just him not keeping up that freak start he made for us.
He was definitely off form compared to the rest of his career. Last season was the first season in his career that he underperformed his xG. That is, the number of goals a perfectly average striker would score from the chances he had. Every other season he scored more goals than you would expect to on average from the chances he had. Last season he scored fewer. So it was definitely an off-season for him, irrespective of him winning the golden boot. He got that by virtue of having a shed load of chances. How he performed with those opportunities was statistically below average.

The rest will do him the world of good. He looked like he was carrying a niggle most of last year in my opinion.

It was a bit tongue in cheek tbh, but he scored all those goals as you say while missing games and a shit ton of sitters that he never looked like missing in his first season were missed, I just mean the proper sitters not half chances.

60 goals isn't beyond him IMO, if everything falls right.
