Haaland pretty much did well every time he got the ball.

He was a good target man, controlled the ball well, and always laid it off quickly and correctly to the right target.

The rest of the team didn't play well enough to make something for him.

Imagine if we signed Kane, instead. We’d be no worse off, but we’d bed for more great to defend against. Shit technique and to spend one so tall he can’t head it either. We got a good fes w for singing him, potential profit here. He ain’t a pep player.
Huh?

Haaland is an athletic monster, but in terms of pressing, grit, linkup, and finding spaces in the box, I find Osimhen (a similar type of striker) superior to him. Haaland doesn't have a great instinct in the box, doesn't anticipate that well where the ball could go, he tends to hide on the back post for some reason etc. Obviously a great player but is often frustrating to me.

Questioning Haaland's movement in front of goal is one of the most stupid things I've seen on this forum, and that's saying something
Not questioning it is one of the most stupid things I've seen on this Forum and that's saying something . Maybe you shouldn't read many of the other posts on this topic or you will need a trigger warning...

not sure he did improve at all in those couple of areas where he is lacking. like pressing, coming deep, heading, holding up the ball. he needs to improve on these things tho. I am sure Pep would love if he would improve at all of these things on top of his goal stats.
C. Ronaldo wasnt a monster in the box scoring headers at age 19/20/21 but by age 30 he scored so many headers some crucial ones too in CL later stages.

being big unit it will be hard for him to run around 90 minutes. touching the ball only few times per each half also doesnt help to make him more committed.

against Arsenal we need to make sure he isnt pocketed by Gabriel-Saliba.

of course today would have helped if all those times Alvarez lost the ball he could have turned and play it in for Haaland rather than lose possession...

I'm more annoyed by some of Pep's tactics than by Haaland or Alvarez.

He was a good target man? Really? 22 touches, and winning 2 of 5 “duels”.

He was poor today. Most of the team were.
