29 goals in 35 games, for someone who is having a 'poor season'.

Personally, I just feel we are 'simplifying' his game too much. Most of the time, he is asked to stay where he is and wait for service. So he ends up having to rely heavily on physically overpowering the defenders. Overpowering one is easy for him, two becomes a problem. Thus, when the service is poor, it makes Haaland look like a very average player.

Maybe it'd be beneficial for him to let him roam a little more, drag players to the wings? Defenders are genuinely terrified of him, they'd keep a close eye on where he is.

But what do I know, he still scored 29 goals in 35 games.

The pile on for Haaland is laughable and driven by the media because he doesn’t play for a team in red in the premier league. He’s scored against every Premier League side he has faced, scored some pretty important goals in the knock out stages of the champions league last season. This myth he doesn’t do it against the big teams doesn’t tally as he’s scored against them all.

He sits on the defenders shoulder and needs service. Who’s giving him that this season? KDB isn’t 100% and coming back from a big injury, Grealish has also been hampered with fitness problems. Bernardo as good as he is won’t be hitting KDB numbers on goal involvements.

Take Mahrez and Gundo out of that side and that’s a big chunk of his service he got last year too. Their replacements haven’t mustered up a quarter of the assists they provided last year. They either come good next season or whoever we buy in the summer picks up the slack on the creativity side of things.

It’s not like in general though he’s not had plenty of chances. Obviously his goal record is still superb but just not at the unreal level of last season. I think that can be put down to a spell out and him not being as clinical. As for his general play i don’t think it’s anything special. He is what he is. Suppose because he’s an absolute world superstar he’s always going to come under the microscope.

against poor opposition and many from the penalty spot. I agree he needs to work defenders far more.

You’d be better off watching utd.
You get no joy out of this team and every post of yours makes it look like you haven’t the foggiest about what’s happening on the pitch.
Perfect for stretford.

Is there a constant full moon out on this thread or what. I've seen some takes round these here parts but this "Haaland is gash" one is fucking mental. He's scored against every fucking team in the premier League and he's been here less than 70 league games.

He's having a barren spell - they all do.
Incredible signing though - no treble without him.
Kane? We'll never know, Pep wouldn't tolerate a striker bought to be a striker looking for the ball in our own half and messing up the system. He wanted an out and out one after the season we had none.
We should appreciate what we've got. Perhaps this Documentary will concentrate minds.

He doesn’t rate Pep, Haaland, Grealish or Ederson. That’s just off the top of my head.
Dread to think what he feels about the likes of Nunez…

Funnily enough he raves about Doku and thinks he’s a superstar.
