It was good keeping, the keeper saw the danger early and got out quickly. Not all those chances are in favour of the striker. There was virtually no angle to get the ball past the keeper or enough distance to get the ball over the keeper because he read the situation well.

That's why no commentators were saying Haaland has to score it and instead were saying it was great keeping. The keeper really shut out the opportunity and pretty much covered every route the ball could get past him and sadly the ball can't travel through his body.
Yeah, going round him was the better option but suppose it’s easy to say that when watching it rather than at the speed he’s running with a split second to decide.

What made me laugh was I knew who you were talking about before I worked my way back through the posts.
It’s amazing really. Poster spends 90% of his time on here being proper shitty about the team and players then acts all offended when gets called out and sticks you on ignore.

Do we really need to discuss Haaland? Or compare him to Aguero who for starters played in completely different City teams. Haaland is build differently, and moves differently. He had aspects to his game that needs improving. For a 23 year old that is not something weird now is it?

We all know his first few months with us he was unreal. No way he could keep that frequency going.
We seem to be more predictable these days with Haaland. Not necessarily Haalands’ fault.

Let’s be thankfull Haaland plays for us. I’m sure there is a lot more to cone from him.

Indeed.

I wouldn’t want to get into comparing Sergio and Erling. We are so lucky to have had both players at our club.

I do agree with Ian Wright on match of the day. If Haaland was willing to use his right foot there, it becomes a much easier chance. Bringing it on his left essentially left him with no chance of getting it past the keeper. Taking it on his right would give him an opportunity to go round the keeper or get a better angle because the ball was alright travelling that direction from the pass

But he is left footed so its understandable why he would want to bring it onto his left foot. It was good goalkeeping though to get out quick, anticipate Haaland would bring it onto his left and basically cut off the route to goal.

Haaland has scored a few with his right but he does rely on his left for almost everything. As we saw with Bobb yesterday, he seems entirely one footed which stopped a lot of crossing opportunities. I do think all players should work on their weaker foot, even just to build confidence of using it when there's no real other option.

I'd like to see some statistic between right footers being comfortable on their left and vice versa. It seems left footers are a lot more one footed than right footers. If you look at Grealish, Kev etc, they can use their left foot when crossing and whatnot, but it seems you rarely see left footers that are comfortable using their right. Maybe I'm wrong but it seems like it.

If you look at a replay from behind the goal, the defender got a touch which moved the ball back onto his left. He didn't have a lot of time so had to take the shot.

Credit has to go to the keeper in this instance though, he was out quickly and made a good save.
