He played pretty well tonight. Thought it was his best game in terms of general play for a while.
But he’s having a bad season - it’s just undeniable.
And his return in big games continues to be poor - undeniable.

Overall, his performance tonight was decent, but we need a better return in big games next season IMO.

whats a worry is the quality of chances we create for him in many games. like no chances at all or one cross all game. way too many games without a decent chance for him. creative players like Foden, Bernardo finding him with a proper pass--cross like once every 15 games. crazy. unless its KDB picking out a pass often no one else finds him this season especially 2nd half of the season.

he is a round peg on a square hole and i dont think he can change his game enough to fit it, its on the coach to utilise him better and frankly i dont think that will happen with pep. Haaland is a transition player, possession football nullifies his best attributes

To be fair crossing for Haaland must be a nightmare because he rarely gets in front of his man. He always pulls off to the back post so the cross has to be perfect to get to him.

Starting to worry that we are wasting him. He is getting frustrated with the situation as well. Hopefully we figure it out next season or he won’t stay much longer. Need to figure out how to get home involved.

He's become a bit of a statue and I'm guessing that's a fitness thing?

He asked to come off today, can't be fatigue as he did fuck all.

He needs to change or we need to change to fit him, but right now he’s just not fitting in.

He had periods like this last year too, when he just seemed to be on a different wavelength, but he was in better form so he kept scoring anyway.
