His dad lost his mum and he lost his gran. He's never used that as an excuse. I would say his father is suffering as he will be at her loss. Football, work, is irrelevant when compared to the life of your co-creator.

I can respect that point. I agree.

Maybe Pep should have recognised all this though and played Alvarez.

He needed to take Erling out of the limelight a few weeks ago in my opinion.

I remember Ake playing a game the next day after loosing his dad but it's Haaland we're talking about, so we'll look for any excuse we can find under the sun, I guess
That's a bit of a scummy comment, don't you think?

I'm not surprised he asked to come off last night, haven't watched the game back but from where I was sat he looked to be doing a lot more pressing than usual.

He didn't have a good chance to miss. That's a failure of the creative players. Goal aside, KDB was shit and Foden was anonymous. If they don't turn up, Haaland doesn't get chances.

Need to tweak the system again and get some more creativity in the side. Haaland just needs to rest and recover this summer.

I did notice last night Haaland rarely goes near post he pulls off to the back post, twice KDB tried to find him but couldn’t get past the keeper,Aguero used to run into that space and hit in from tight angle, trouble is he was right footed, Haaland could only really do that if coming from say Grealish on the left, which rarely happens.

Some counter attacking threat would be nice, too many times the counters on and instead of looking forward we go side ways or backwards.

there are rumors that he’s not fit, playing with injections allegedly. i don’t know if that’s true of course.
Did it myself in 1986, when I used to have injections between my toes to numb the pain from a broken bone in my foot.

Aguero/Jesus to the near post and someone else (Sterling/Sane/Gundo/Mahrez) to the far post ... we've seen it work countless times. Doku beats his fulllback more often than not, only to find no one to pass to

Erling didn't take a break, nor use it as an excuse. I pointed out that anyone who mentally, puts football above the loss of someone's family member is an effing tosser.
