So much better today - won loads of duels and played well from deeper positions. Gives the ball away too much but that’s something we expect.
Apart from the lovely goal I thought he was really poor. We moan that he’s usually taken up by two defenders but today he had loads of space with the ball, but did nothing with it. Hopefully his goal will give him some confidence to get back into a good form.

Why cant he pass the ball accurately over 2m?

Im glad he scored but he has gotta make those simple passes.
Well as the primary striker he is expecting the ball to him, not looking to offload it. He isn't the world's greatest footballer but he is in with a chance to be the greatest striker in world football .

Thats an awful excuse.

Im expecting that he can do basic passing.

Dont need to be the worlds greatest player.

Have been critical of him lately. He was very good today, got a goal & was aggressive. Long may it continue!

Haaland played well but was against probably the worst cb pairing in the league. I dont take for granted his availability though, he certainly hasn’t hid during this tough spell

Like Dortmund Erling after Mcatee came on and he got his goal. Dropping deep and driving forward with the ball.. passing wasnt great but it was good to see. Could use more of that so he's not so isolated as he often has been recently.

Had a few nice moments to be fair but yes he is very wasteful on the ball. It was just nice to see him way more involved in the game and aggressive.

I actually think having less of the possession suits him but I cant see pep mentally being able to adapt to that.

Really put a shift In the last 25 minutes and seemed to want to take the fight to opposition. Let’s hope we see more of it.

Thought he was lazy and lethargic again in spells although he saw more of the ball today. His touch and distribution are very poor and he really needs to improve on.

Took the goal very well and I hope it really gives him a shot of confidence. Also seemed to perk up when McAtee came on too and was looking more interested.

Overall much better than he has been but still miles away from where he was.

Like most, I don’t have any issue with him barely touching the ball, if the team is playing well, winning games and he is scoring for fun…basically his performances since he arrived. Having passengers through a horror period like ours will always draw criticism and he has looked disinterested in recent weeks.

Definitely - even on his worst days he needs to be giving the same application as today. Even just that moment where he bullied Coady - gets the fans up so we can sing his name. Thats what we love about him

Yeah I liked that he used his body more.

He dropped deep, he tried to bully the defenders more, clearly a slightly different approach from him that Pep wanted.

Just work on that basic passing and that performance would be perfect.

Looked like a man on a mission today.

Wish we got him involved more, he used his presence today a few times and nearly got one of the goals of the season in the first half!

Need one hat trick in his bag badly!

But with all of this fuss , cant see that happening any time soon

I was at the game today, watching Liverpool now.
Salah, Gakpo and Dias up front reminds me of how used to play. All speedy, skillful with lots of movement.
Foden, Savinho even McAtee could play that way .
Haaland definitely not.
