feed him and he will score more than not. but he aint an Aguero type of striker, or David Villa or Luis Suarez etc. technically he is quite limited apart from some strange acrobatic moves to score some goals in the air with his foot etc, while with this build pressing all game also is nonsense for him.
Pep wanted Kane before him due to his ability to drop deep, even to midfield line and be part of building the attack, he had many assists at Spurs at the time by dropping deep. Haaland will never do that.
but something is wrong that apart from KDB rarely ever anyone tries to play him in. Nunes did once few weeks ago, and maybe Kovacic once before that, felt like a surprise and and a rare thing, he scored both.
going down left or right and a high cross in is not the way to use him, as his heading aint great neither the way he fighting for header vs defenders. you often see him pulled/pushed by low range defenders not even getting close to a header. low crosses might work better but our wingers rarely beat their man, if they do an accurate cross is rare and to be fair finding him in there is hard given its always 3 v 1 situation, if the cross beats the first man at all.
previously teams had to worry of Alvarez, Mahrez, Foden, KDB, Gundogan, Rodri, Bernardo may be scoring, now its only Haaland who is scoring. if he doesnt score, than maybe its Gvardiol. that means they can focus on Haaland more, as there isnt enough danger from others.
