His numbers back him up, though, and his contribution can't be questioned. We all knew that we were getting goals from him, and not much else, and it's not his fault that the 2nd best goal-scorer in this team is Gvardiol or John Stones. One missed penalty doesn't change that.

A missed penalty from a player who contributes nothing else but score is a much bigger transgression than a missed penalty from a player who does other stuff too. He needs to be benched as punishment imo.

The penalty miss can happen, but there was a real lack of effort to get back onside after making a run today. Lost pretty much every battle with Branthwaite and Tarkowski too
