9 | Erling Haaland - 2025/26

Agreed Pep Is the problem....

Im saying we keep hearing he's world class...
He isn't.....

He's a flat track bully ...

Like you said it's an opinion your welcome you yours but I'd have a half fit Sergio over him any day
Quick...to the hot tub time machine!

He literally set up our only clear chance and then messed up a pass (which cherki randomly stopped for a split second) which should have been a goal. We completely waste his talents. We don't play through balls, we play dinked crosses when he's marked. If you think haaland i the problem then that's you're opinion but I guarantee you he's not.

Haaland definitely isn't the problem. The system is the problem. He's a goalscorer and very little else, certainly not a very good footballer.

He's a luxury at City. If we don’t build the team and system around him, he's a waste of a shirt.

This one is on Pep 100%

Criminally underrated player by the general football community. The 2014 title he was one of the best players in the league but overshadowed by the praise for that shit house Suarez.

The daft thing is that Edin Dzeko is considered genuine world class at every club he's played for other than City.

Our fans never really appreciated just how good he was for us.

He's an excellent footballer. He's not a luxury, he's the complete opposite. Without him and his 40 goals we'd be fucked.

Crazy. I loved him. Old school footballer who was good at everything. He suffered by playing in the same team as Kun. Comparisons were always too harsh. Getting to see them two along with Silva, Yaya an Kompany was something you only appreciate later on. I was living in Manchester 2011-14. Fabulous time for going to watch some great footballers.

When I moved to London was working with a Bosnian girl, bloke was a national hero. Also I was mispronouncing him name!!!

This is something that I don't understand about Isak, the likes of him Tonali, Joelington have a chance to build something special at Newcastle.

I think it’s really difficult to claim that when every time he’s been injured, think last season but also the one before when Alvarez played with Foden in behind, and we looked a much more cohesive side.

Love Erl but just pointing out an observation.

Not by any means claiming we’re better without him or changing the past, just pointing out an observation.
This current iteration of pep and city is lost without his goals. We won a treble with him as a a record breaking goal scorer.

Drive me mad with his half arsed run to the keeper or defender to try block a clearance

I actually don't think he's an iteration of pep, I honestly think he would have preferred Kane who is a much more complete footballer. Spurs wanted silly money then we have a chance to sign a young striker, with incredible numbers and a global name at a very good price. We were correct to take the opportunity but as a team we have scored more goals without that focal point.

It's just different really.

We won the treble with him. And with other players hitting their peak. The idea that he's the problem now misses the point in a way only a savinho shot understands

He isn’t an excellent footballer mate . He is out and out pure goal scorer who most of the time finds the net but an excellent footballer he is not .
What part of footballing is kicking the ball in the net? Still a big part? He also make great runs, is running still a part of football (maybe not this pep team). He also sets up players and looks to pass forward. No longer a part of football I see. You got me.
