Mbappe did not play as a 9 at PSG with Messi and Neymar. He started playing there in his final season there. He was all over the place last season at RM. IMO as a pure goal scorer Haaland is currently the best. Not disparaging Mbappe or Kane.
 
For me the question isn't just on their individual goal record as much as it is how the team performs. Mbappe is better at dribbling past people, Kane is probably more creative. But Haaland scores a shit tonne and has won so much.

His international record is absurd as well.

Mbappe's goal record for Real can be tempered by the fact Messi/Ronaldo used to score more than a goal a game in their peak. Lewandowski scored 42 in 52 last season at 36. Mbappe got 44 in 59 in all competitions by way of comparison.

Kane's record with Bayern is exceptional but again, Lewandowski (and Haaland) produced similar numbers in the Bundesliga.

No one has come close to scoring at the rate Haaland has in England. Factor in his age and it's just different level.

If not Mbappe who played as a 9 in the 4-3-3? Neymar clearly played as a LW and Messi as the RW. Don’t want to make this a big discussion since it’s the Haaland thread in the end BUT Mbappe has definitely been playing the 9 position for PSG already during the Messi times. He just plays it much more fluid compared to Haaland.

Even when di Maria was there he did. The left side was always occupied by Neymar. He ( Mbappe ) only played RW in his first 2 seasons for PSG.
 
Both Haaland and Kane work harder off the ball than Mbappe who is easily the laziest and most self-centered amongst them.

I expect Haaland to break his own PL record this season. Once the likes of Rodri, Reijnders, Cherki, Savinho... hit form, he will score even more than now. Fingers crossed he stays injury free.

I'll go back over the numbers and we'll know for sure.
 
Can’t get my head around this man at all. He’s already about a third of the way to beating his tally last season… yesterday was September.

And last season he scored 34 fuckin’ goals!
 
He really is a different level. Doing what he is doing, in this current City side defies belief. He’s scoring at a rate which is pretty much unheard of and doing so in a team that is nowhere near its level of previous seasons. Imagine how many he would get if we had a decent right winger.
