Another absolutely wild stat that makes him an outlier. He has made 104 league appearances for us, and in that time he has been flagged offside just 18 times. That's about 5-6 times per season, or once every 10 hours of match time!
Just for comparison, in the same time period Salah has been offside 61 times and Vardy 75 times (and in Vardy's case, that's in fewer league appearances). Naturally they are different players, as they rely on fine margins playing off the shoulder of the defenders, but still.
This is another hint that his awareness of what's going on around him is arguably the thing that makes his strike rate so high, and why he always finds himself in the right places at the perfect time. Package that with his absurd physicality and you can see that even when defenders know what he's going to do, they're often powerless to stop him (see -> van den Berg).
