Victor is a physical striker. One of which Arsenal had with Giroud. Victor is more mobile and always fired up. Pep could make a star out of him. Arteta can not emply this kind of striker as of yet. Also, Gyökeres needs to stay fit and be played regularly.

They do have some really good attacking players to be fair in Nusa, Bobb and Ødegaard. That is not far of ours.

Also consider Håland has dome thins in a far inferior national team to all the others bar maybe Zlatan and Lewa.

Another perspective is to compare him to other Norwegian internationals.

The previous record holder was Jørgen Juve, who completed his 33rd goal for Norway in 1934.

That record stood for nearly 100 years. No Norwegian has ever scored more goals for the national team than that – until Erling just smashed it, and is now at an incredible 51 goals at 25 years of age. Juve's 33 goals still stand at a clear 2nd place, still miles behind young Erl.

He's just a phenom.
 
For comparison, here are some other fairly well-known Norwegian strikers on the list, which you may or may not recognise/remember.

24 - Alexander Sørloth, John Carew
23 - Ole Gunnar Solskjær, Tore André Flo
21 - Steffen Iversen

Haaland's the only player in history to have more goals than apps in both the European cup/CL and international football. We are witnessing history.

Gerd Muller is the closest thing in the last 60 years: 68 goals in 62 apps for West Germany (incredible) and 34 goals in 35 European cup games for Bayern.
 
He's just been confirmed to travel back to Manchester now. He's not playing the friendly against New Zealand. Should be good news for The Blues.

I wonder if there's some little known rule that we could take advantage of; that, in the unlikely event of us getting a penalty, we could swap it for a throw in (we're as shite at corners as penalties, so there's no point asking for one of them)?
