Really? He got a goal and worked hard but he rarely actually looks like scoring. He’s not particularly quick, can’t head it and can’t shoot with much power

So whilst he had a good game, I don’t think world class is an accurate description
He is one of the better headers of the ball, and he is as quick as Aguero. Also looked like scoring a few times. None of that made it a World Class performance. But let's not under sell him.

I don't at all think that Jesus is world class at the moment - he fails to convert chances far too often; certainly he failed to convert Mahrez's cross/pass.

He is pretty good at heading the ball though, especially considering his lack of height.

Everyone has their own definition for world class. This thread's only going to stagnate if we dwell on it.

No it doesn't. Among the best in the world mean among the best in the world.

World Class means he'd represent the World in a World XI. Which he wouldn't.

Just because some of you have decided that's what it means, it doesn't change the definition of the term. Barcon is correct.

I don't think Gabriel is there yet but he will be if he lives up to even half of his potential.

Having a great spell which is only good for the team.
I’ll hold off on the WC arguments for now though. When he’s our number 1 striker and performing week in week at the same levels I’ll happily revisit.
