Someone posted here that the "Standard" - should be the ability - to help team dominate in CL..

I said, that if that's the standard - our current N1 striker - isn't and has never been near to that standard.
I can't remember any playoff match where he has helped team to progress or qualify. And that's not the issue for all players. For example Debruyne has been productive both in PL and CL..
And if we dig into more details - the statistics of three important missed penalties in the playoffs - speak by themselves..

Missed penalty against Spurs ? Missed penalty against PSG ? Missed penalty against Barcelona ? Missed chances against Monaco ? Shit performance against Madrid ? What kind of fucking standard is that..

So, I don't give a fuck what kind of political correctness or other stupid agenda you have here - but truth should be spoken and people who can't think should be taught to think.
Because I don't' have double standards or something.. I can see with my two eyes (as it appears - better than some people) and I can analyze some things better (again.. better than some people)..

I remember someone posted here that the reason Gabriel Jesus at the age of 22 - has already done better in the National Team, than the 32 years old Aguero - is that teammates aren't as good
in Argentina as in Brazil and there is pressure and Messi effect (LOL) and etc.. So this kind of people, for me aren't interesting at all and I can't argue with them.. And who agrees on this stupid
ideas can't be argued as well. You should leave them alone and let to "play" with each other :D

So to focus on Gabriel Jesus and tell the truth. It's obvious that we have the pure talent here.
He has everything and even more.. to replace Aguero when the time comes and I'm sure he will do that without any problem..

CL ? Score one goal in playoff and help the team to progress at least once and you are already better than Aguero in that tournament (Like Debruyne has done for example against PSG..)
PL ? I don't think he won't be able to score 20 PL goals each year.. Why is that difficult ?
Team ? Why he can't score 30 goals on average each season. Is that mission impossible ? Bullshit...
National Team ? He has already achieved more and has don more - than Aguero during his whole career in Argentina..

That's all. Now you can continue with that agenda.. But the facts are facts and the truth is obvious..

This post is just terrible and devoid of any context. Aguero did miss a penalty against Barca..he also scored against Barcelona. Aguero also missed a penalty against Spurs...he also scored what should have been the winning goal of the tie. Aguero also scored a vital penalty against Madrid and scored 2 against Monaco and that should have been the end of that tie too. Our inability to win the CL is rooted in our defensive fragility not on Aguero or our attack. We scored 6 against Monaco and 4 against Spurs. That should have been more than enough but we conceded stupid goals that cost us. The standard is Aguero is our record European goalscorer with a phenomenal goalscoring record in Europe. He's dragged us to the playoff stages multiple times including a hattrick vs Bayern and a last minute goal vs Villarreal not to mention scoring goals against Sporting, Ajax and Porto.

If doing more for your NT is simply the amount of trophies you've helped your team win then Eder has done more than Robert Lewandowski. Aguero is Argentina's 4th top scorer in their history so I'm super confused as to the point you're trying to make. Gabriel Jesus simply isn't the striker that Aguero is; we all have eyes and we can see that doesn't have the same shooting technique that many top strikers possess. He can score goals but defenders aren't afraid of Jesus, his qualities are different and he relies more on his link-up play. Saying Jesus could score 30 goals a season is pure conjecture based on nothing.

First of all. The number of humans on the earth - appreciating Aguero more than me - is equal to zero.
But this is the topic of GJ and I can't stand bullshit that has been written here for the last three or four months.

And also when I see same people in Sterling`s topic and in others as well. So someone needed to stand up and tell -> guys, shut the fuck up, it's enough.. Get a job or something more interesting,
than writing silly posts about GJ..

I imagine what they were writing in 2011, when Mancini replaced Tevez with Aguero.. but fortunately I wasn't able to see or read that brilliance.. But once again I can imagine :D
----------------

Let's look at the perfect example here.. Two great teams meet each other and what we have as a result..
22 years old footballer who becomes the hero and wins the match.. Wasn't Aguero playing here or I missed something..
Oh I see.. that fucking Messi effect or pressure.. Should be difficult to play and score the goals along with Messi (LOL)

Once again.. you can keep with that "Stupid Agenda" but the truth is.. obvious...

As for the Goals and that bullshit related to the National Teams..
GJ has 22 goals compared to 43 of Aguero.. I can imagine in 10 years - what will be the difference there..
And we are talking about the national team - where Neymar, Coutinho, Firmino, Douglas Costa and other superstars are playing and there is the huge pressure to deliver goals and assists
in order to maintain your place as a starter..

But in the end.. Kid is the fucking N9 of the greatest Brazilian national team.. What the fuck are you talking about ? Are you even able to read or watch or analyze something ?

You cannot go for a 'perfect example' when we already possess a body of work for both players. Jesus has played 130 times for the club, why do I need to watch an international game to form a judgement on his abilities compared to Aguero's? I know the type of player that Jesus is and his weaknesses as a number 9. Alot of his goals and best performances have come from playing as a winger which is the position I think he should be playing. As a pure striker, he'll never be as good as Aguero. His attributes simply don't match up to even a 22 year old Aguero. Listen to when defenders speak about Aguero's strengths and those simply don't apply to Jesus. He doesn't have the same sort of strength or varied shooting technique that Aguero does.

: "I feel this is the best place for me to develop, if not I wouldn't have come. I trust in the club when I took the decision to come here. I am here. Sometimes I am happy, sometimes I am not but that’s normal because I want to play..."

"Sometimes I can understand why I don’t but I try to do my best every day. I will do my best every day because I want to stay here and I want to help my teammates."

I don't get it, this guy still plays for our team, hasn't been disruptive, hasn't thrown any tantrums, why do the fans dislike GJ soooo much? What could possibly be the reason?

No one dislikes him, no one wants him to fail, the only thing anyone wants is a realistic appraisal of him when he plays. So far, we get "he hasn't scored but he's run a lot, world class", "he's missed a penalty but he scored one for Brazil, world class", "Aguero missed an open goal when he was 22, so Jesus is world class".

It's unfair, inaccurate, and actually increases the pressure on a young lad playing second fiddle to one of the best strikers the world has ever seen. Let's let him develop a bit more, hopefully get a bit more game time over the next few seasons both with and without Aguero, and if he's good enough, great, we've got an absolute bargain, if not, move him on and we'll look at other options.

All anyone wants is City to be successful and do their best. That's it.
Apart from Jesus' mum when she logs onto bluemoon ;)

He's a class act, a marvelous athlete and a humble young man.
He's respectful to the club and to us supporters, his stats are incredible for a guy of his age. He's only 22 and he doesn't even get to start every game as yet. Imagine how good he can be, when plays every week, stays in the groove and starts to hit his prime in 3 or 4 years time.
If he was anywhere else I'd hope that we could sign him - but we'd need to cough up our record transfer fee to do that.

I do agree with you, overhyping him and knocking Aguero isn't constructive at all. But there's the other side of the coin where people go out of their way to point out why he'll never make it as City's striker every time he does anything less than perfect, and there's also been a rotating wheel of petty excuses to knock him down a peg, most notably the offside stuff. On top of that, there are people continuously comparing him to a close to prime and experienced Aguero unfairly when the issue isn't a lack of ability, but the fact that he's not an identical clone of him which has always been an unrealistic measure of any player in the history of the sport.

He's a young player with a great attitude and a weird habit of scoring a lot of goals. Why can't some people be happy with that?

Fanboy alert
Do a list of all the good things sergio has done in all comps

Embarrassing yourself!! Lot's of really decent humble people here! No idea why you think you are someone special and worthy..

He’s gone on that hiatus he mentioned in his earlier post (in a blaze of venomous glory, at that), so won’t be responding.
