Does he fuck, we were shite today and its not the first time this season we have created fuck all.

He had a free fucking header that he fucked up, he had the cross from Cancelo that he was too late to react to and skied. He had service today but he just can't finish and doesn't have a strikers instincts. Aguero would have buried those chances because he is a natural goal scorer.

Could do with someone creating a fucking decent chance for him, hes getting little to no service.

He gets plenty of service. Not in any way clinical enough to lead the line for a top side.

I don't think he got given 1 good chance today.

He tried to deflect Cancelo's shot in, maybe could have scored but it wasn't more than a half chance.

He managed to win a few headers, but they're all from standing starts off floaty crosses...impossible to get any power.

There were a few times the ball was ping-ponging around the box and he stuck out a leg and nearly got one in.

Overall there was no golden chance that he missed - not the kind of thing we've seen from Sterling in the past.

Firstly, strikers for top sides can't solely rely on service. Aguero, Lewandowski, Immobile, Haaland etc can create chances through sheer force of will in a tight game. Jesus can't do that.

And secondly, he's had plenty of service since returning from the lockdown and can't hit a barn door.

He isn’t good enough and we need another striker. Imagine having to rely on just him for a full season.

I wonder when people will start noticing the pattern in how we keep buying these great strikers, bench them for 6 months, play them out of position, then abuse them for not filling Aguero's shoes immediately when he gets injured.

It's almost like the problem Bayern have with no one backing up Lewandowski, or Spurs have with Kane, or Barca have with Suarez, or Madrid have with Benzema...

Aguero, different level of striker to everyone in the premier league. The others play in a pub league in terms of defending. Jesus would score 30+ in Serie A and Bundesliga.

He really hasn't had plenty of service, nothing like the clear cut chances we would normally be creating.

some fun facts...

Has a shot conversion rate this season of 12.3%, Aguero has 21.1%, Lewandowski has 24.6%, even Lukaku has 22.4%.
Has a shots on target conversion rate this season of 25%, Aguero has 57%, Lewandowski has 49.2%, Lukaku has 47.5%.
Jesus's averages over the last 2 seasons are just 13.7% and 26.2% respectively.
Has scored 3 home league goals since scoring twice v Wolves at home on 14 January 2019.
Has scored 17 league goals and had 8 league assists in the past 2 seasons, 10 of those goals and 4 of those assists have come in December and January.
Of those 17 league goals, 13 goals have come against just 5 teams (Everton, Palace, Burnley, Leicester and West Ham).

to be fair to him, in 17/18 his percentages were 23.2% and 39.4%, so whilst in the best PL of all time he was slightly below peak he was in the ballpark, so he's almost halved in effectiveness in front of goal the past 2 seasons.

just not a goal threat....needs them putting on a plate besides the odd good goal. He doesnt even strike a ball that well

Lots of documented positives but he cant be our main striker moving forward. He just isnt enough of a goal threat and is again failign to show that he can be - this is the third or fourth time where due to an injury to Sergio he has had a chance to show people and prove he is ready - and again he isnt.

Lives off the odd good goal (ie vs madrid) and being a har workerand his link up play but in the main element that defines a striker he is lacking

Imnt saying he hasnt got a place in the team BUT we need a main striker and Jesus aint that....not on his own at least
