I missed the first half but xg saying he should've scored 1,52 goals today. Had some half chances in the second half, did he have any in the first that makes 1,52 a reasonable number?

some fun facts...

Has a shot conversion rate this season of 12.3%, Aguero has 21.1%, Lewandowski has 24.6%, even Lukaku has 22.4%.
Has a shots on target conversion rate this season of 25%, Aguero has 57%, Lewandowski has 49.2%, Lukaku has 47.5%.
Jesus's averages over the last 2 seasons are just 13.7% and 26.2% respectively.
Has scored 3 home league goals since scoring twice v Wolves at home on 14 January 2019.
Has scored 17 league goals and had 8 league assists in the past 2 seasons, 10 of those goals and 4 of those assists have come in December and January.
Of those 17 league goals, 13 goals have come against just 5 teams (Everton, Palace, Burnley, Leicester and West Ham).

good stats that show when you dig into his main stats, they are indeed deceiving

Overall there was no golden chance that he missed - not the kind of thing we've seen from Sterling in the past.

I love when people write shit like this. Forgetting Sterling has scored more goals from the wing than Gabby will ever score for us up front. Also players like Sterling may miss chances but they also make goals out of nowhere. His Arsenal goal, winning penalty out of nothing against the Dippers just for an example. Gabby hardly ever has that bit of magic that makes a goal out of nowhere. No it needs to be put on a plate for him and even then it needs to be put on a plate several times before he gets his goal. And if it isn't everyone gets to shrug their shoulders and say he had no service and ignore how shit he has been.

Aguero, different level of striker to everyone in the premier league. The others play in a pub league in terms of defending. Jesus would score 30+ in Serie A and Bundesliga.

He really hasn't had plenty of service, nothing like the clear cut chances we would normally be creating.

He had 4 good chances against Liverpool but once again couldn’t stay onside for two of them so they didn’t even become shots and the other two were terrible attempts.

He’s been atrocious since the return. Nothing left to play for in the league, would like to see Liam Delap be given a chance

Unfortunately, Aguero is the man he's aiming to replace and so will always be held to that standard. Kun himself managed to replace Tevez under similar pressure so I'm afraid if you're not up to the task, you won't be here long.

As for the 30+ goals shout, while I agree they're inferior leagues...Ronaldo, Lukaku, Werner, Martinez etc haven't hit 30 in their leagues so I wouldn't hold my breath on Gabby hitting 30 there.

xG isn't going to represent the chances he had today well. None of them were instances where he had the ball and took the shot, they're all reactive or throwing himself at the ball.

Understat are giving the attempt by the back post to deflect Cancelo's shot in as 0.53xG but if you've seen the chance it's nonsense, Cancelo absolutely leathered it and he's not been able to do anything but put a foot out. It's not the same as taking a shot from that position.

As certain as death and taxes, is seeing De Bruyne pissed off with Jesus at some point in a match when they start together.
Ha just like a minute ago,kev worked passed it then stuck both arms up in frustration ,he is not the answer going fowards, offices and fluffed chances again, just take him away now

Alright cheers. Imo it's usually a very good metric but it has some flaws of course.
