He had a decent or half chance when he was played in on the edge of the area in the second half. A confident striker would have taken one touch and shot. Instead, every touch he made took him further wide until he ran it out for a goal kick, appealing for a penalty.Last time he didn't start and aguero did against West ham we noticed it.
I agree with you saying jesus isn't a match winner but Pep doesn't play him to be a regular match winner. He basically plays like a false 9 himself most of the time, he drifts out wide more often than not so that the wingers can cut in, or drops deep so a midfielder can go beyond him, he's not being asked to stay in the box and wait for the ball that will never come yet most of us judge him as that kind of player.
We see him constantly being criticised for not scoring, what was the chance he should have scored today? He had one shot that I can recall that was neither a shot or cross, you can argue he should have done better nd I wouldn't disagree but it would have taken something quite brilliant to score or assist from the position he and his teammates were in. that aside he got zero service and you can't blame it on him not working hard enough to get opportunities.
I get your point about Jesus helping us to be a better team because of what he brings as highlighted in the West Ham game. However, there was nothing to loose bringing in Aguero 5 or 10 minutes to the end of the game when we were trying to find our way back into the game. Why should he be in the bench if he couldn’t play a little part.Last time he didn't start and aguero did against West ham we noticed it.

Jesus plays because he busts a gut pressing all over the pitch , pulling defenders away etc. But he cant finish hes not a good finisher
He doesn’t create chances for himself though does he?Last time he didn't start and aguero did against West ham we noticed it.

No there wouldn't and that's the crux of it.If he was really a top player would there even be this much debate week in week out?
Spot on. Same as Sterling and yet we still do fantastically but imagine a Haaland, Ronaldo or Lewa type finisher in this team.I’ve said it many times that you never see him strike a ball properly. For this reason he’s never going to be a top class striker. His penalties are never hit properly and he constantly sets up opposing attacks by losing the ball in the centre circle.
Rarely. But again that's not our style, we don't play in a way that gets him the ball in a position to do that, nor is it encouraged. He's being judged on here based on what fans know to be a traditional striker when he does not play in that way.He doesn’t create chances for himself though does he?
thats not an excuse however......the questions are still there about him (not about many of the others that were poor today) after 4 years......that should say somethingPoor today but a lot were
said the same thing for 3 seasons now....defences do not fear him at allAnother game where he has failed to stake a claim that he will deserve to replace Aguero
I understand his cause for the team, but we need a CF that will cause the oppo back line to be worried he is there, and score goals
Jesus doesnt seem to cause that fear/anxiety at all in the oppo defence
He doesnt scare any team , they see his name and go thank fuck it is not aguero, imo
agree Kaz but unfortunately as Ive said before, Kun is being managed out of this team.....him not getting game time and especially today at 1-0 down or even 2 -0 down says it all....said the same thing for 3 seasons now....defences do not fear him at all
