I am not so sure we do. In fact, I think that our struggles against a ten-man defence are lessened by playing a system that allows goals to come from more sources. Sergio is such a hero, a legend, that is difficult to countenance not replacing him with a true goal scorer like he is. For me, the better current approach is the one we are using but with an out and out goal-getter in reserve, as a secondary plan. No huge name will accept such a role so I wonder if it is one for a youngster instead, who may become a legend but isn't yet one in the game.

Every team needs a prolific striker , we have drawn too many games without sergio , he has been a huge miss and gabby has not stepped upI am not so sure we do. You do realise the solution to this is replace Sergio, not Jesus? No one is selling a 23 year old who scores every other game so a 33 year old can have a swansong last season as a backup.

And that's ignoring the fact he's probably the best pressing forward around.

Sergio has been out how long ? He should have staked his claim, injuries permitting
Play him left wing , he is rarely in the box and when sergio leaves replace him as near as we can to him
