What's the bet if we beat Arsenal we'll here the same shite as last year from the same people..."...this Arsenal team are a nothing special..." "...we played them at a good time..." "...it was a lucky result..." "...they had players injured..."

It's the way Wenger has operated his entire time at Arsenal, whenever they lose they seem to have a valid excuse.

We have a better starting 11 than them and more quality on the bench, it will upset me to lose this one as it means we will have given them way too much respect.

Aye, I know Wenger has always had an excuse...I was talking about some of the shite I read on this board after we beat them last season. Surprisingly enough, from the people who don't "rate" MH. Anyway, I think it's going to be a cracking game. I'm coming over for it with some friends. I think we'll really go at them. First chance for the likes of Barry, Toure, Ade, and Tevez to show this City team can mix it with the Sky 4. I think we're going to nick it....

Hopefully we get a clean bill of health from the internationals and can start with the same X1 as against portsmouth with either Robbie/Bellamy on the left. I think he'll go with Bellers if I'm honest, as with him and Tevez biting at Arsenal they won't have time to build from the back. It's all about our back four containing their front three. A lot will depend on the full backs. Hopefully Zabba is in to get at Arshavin, he could cause richards problems.

We'll know a lot more about our lads after this game. If we can dictate the pace and impose ourselves against the Arse we have a real shot of making it 12 from 12 going to the Swamp. I wouldn't back against us there either

September provides our first real test when we play Arsenal H, and Man U away, followed by West Ham H.

So, if we have got around 14 points by end of September I'd be well chuffed. The squad we are assembling is quite capable of that.

October & November looks a relatively easier months, with Liverpool A the plum fixture. December also doesn't look too bad.

By year end, I'd be looking around 35/40 points - but I'm in dreamland 'cos I've never thought like this before...
