If we had comms professionals the club wouldn’t be such pussies when faced with a daily barrage of abuse, innuendo, racism, libel and slander.Indeed. It's not a great statement to make. You would expect better from a comms professional.
Its like they think this is something to be proud ofI think that match going fans should take priority, however I believe the club is losing touch with the real fans and this is just the start.
To be slightly fair to Nuria Tarre, they are CMO of the CFG, not City, so they are dealing with about 15 clubs.

I’m not trying to condone what she said, even if it’s been wrongly contextualised.Well, AHT, a quick Google search does seem to confirm that. But it's poorly expressed, therefore, in the City Xtra tweet, which does make it look as though she's referring, not to Melbourne, not to New York, not to Yokohama, but to Manchester City Football Club, formerly of Hyde Rd and Maine Rd, now of the Etihad Campus in Eastlands.
In any case, I can't really imagine that 99% of those City fans who are domiciled within Greater Manchester (and, giving a bit of leeway, Lancashire and Cheshire) give any sort of toss about marketing decisions determined by the City Football Group, honestly.
