99% of our fans are outside Manchester apparently

To be slightly fair to Nuria Tarre, they are CMO of the CFG, not City, so they are dealing with about 15 clubs.

Well, AHT, a quick Google search does seem to confirm that. But it's poorly expressed, therefore, in the City Xtra tweet, which does make it look as though she's referring, not to Melbourne, not to New York, not to Yokohama, but to Manchester City Football Club, formerly of Hyde Rd and Maine Rd, now of the Etihad Campus in Eastlands.
In any case, I can't really imagine that 99% of those City fans who are domiciled within Greater Manchester (and, giving a bit of leeway, Lancashire and Cheshire) give any sort of toss about marketing decisions determined by the City Football Group, honestly.

It's just marketing bollocks. Not worth worrying about.

Another ten pound voucher should cover it .......

As a City fan living in the USA, who happens to travel to Middle East and East Asia a lot for work, I have always got the vibe that City seems to prioritize foreign fans rather than the local fans. This also seems like the sentiment that some city fans had when I spoke to them after visiting Manchester earlier this year.

Its like they think this is something to be proud of

It's what the scousers and the rags have boasted about for years trying to prove they are big clubs. The reason they boasted about it and had no shame about it is the people who boasted about it weren't aren't associated with those clubs probably have never been to a game.

Now it looks like we have got those same people working at the club.

Just look at this abomination of "Data collection"?

If we had comms professionals the club wouldn’t be such pussies when faced with a daily barrage of abuse, innuendo, racism, libel and slander.

I am no comms professional but i am not sure that's necessarily true. As a fan I would want them to put these people in their place but sometimes it is best not to have difficult relations with the press. I would also suggest that the comms team have done a fair amount re these issues but was not made public.

I’m not trying to condone what she said, even if it’s been wrongly contextualised.

She could have said that the vast majority of fan interactions are with people around the globe and kept the figures in house.

Having said that, these people probably don’t base what they say on how the bantz play out on social media.
