I think he’s going to leave a lasting legacy that’s largely negative. I’ve asked the question and nobody can tell me anything positive he adds.

There’s a shit storm coming with regards our fanbase, and he’ll have done a moonlight flit, and won’t have to deal with it.

Like all top execs, make a good top line in profit & turnover but, as it's built on sand or in our case aging FOC's and not the future local fanbase

No one in any business will give a shit about what damage they've caused or what happens when they leave, they've ticked their boxes, made some money, got promotion to a better job elsewhere etc.

All depends on what is deemed a fan by the club..is it X followers, members or actually people who would go to a game?

All 3 demographics are pretty different.

It's the same calculator that said the Rags had billions of supporters.

I'm pretty sure the club's definition of a fan is different to the majority of our definition.

For example, I would say a fan is a 'fanatic'. Someone who watches pretty much all of the games, understands our history, could sing 10 different City songs...

The club probably says 'that random person in Mongolia liked one of our posts on X so they are a fan.'

So you need to move away for work, would you stop supporting City?

So do locals not want those of us who live elsewhere? I am nearly 70 and have supported City for 64 years or more, and probably been to more City games than many on here. So don’t accuse people who are no longer able to attend as not being fans

I am assuming this is followers rather than fans? In which case I would have though this was true for all PL clubs. The bigger you are the more fans you will have globally.

I was at a supporters club meeting in Northenden, before we moved to the Etihad.
Denis Tueart was the guest speaker and a conversation took place regarding the proposed capacity and our then fan base.
He told us that 36% of our then fan base, lived in the South East of the country, that was over 20 years ago, well before we went on our recent successful winning streak?!
