The "Chief Executive" of 999 Day is on Sky news now. I want to punch the ****, not once has he mentioned cuts to services, not fucking once.

Yesterday, my 88 year old mum, severely dehydrated, heart failure, severe diarrhoea, dangerously low blood pressure with episodes of delirium had to wait SEVEN fucking hours for an ambulance because she was not classed as an emergency and did not get priority. My mum is now so immobile I can no longer take her but if I knew it was going to be SEVEN fucking hours i would have pushed her there in a shopping trolley.

Since when have we had so few ambulances that somebody like my mum is not a priority, the Ambulance that turned out was not an NHS ambulance but one run by a private contractor, the ambulance still had NHS emblazoned on it, but the staff wore uniforms from a company called something like Equity healthcare. To be fair the lads were very good, but there equipment couldnt even monitor my mum's pulse, they had to do it manually, there crash machine looked ancient and wasn't giving proper readings of heart rate and unbelievably they could not "blue light" my mum to hozzy because they didn't have blue lights. My mum has DNR status and the ambulance guy said if your mum crashes on the way we will have to call a paramedic.

Those cunts in charge of the country want fucking shooting, they are destroying its very fabric, which is affecting those brilliant people who man our 999 services.

Shirley you aren't suggesting that our 'new look' PHS (Private Health Service) is not fit for purpose? This is what the future holds.

Incidentally, joking apart I really do hope your mum is safe and well in Hozzy.

Sorry to hear, mate, must be a real heartache.

With regard to the service, our NHS does a great job but the cuts and injection of privatisation is killing it off. Just what the Tories ordered.

Scandalous.
There something wrong with you if you believe where all this extra money is going to end up and it's not in your local hospital.

Johnson’s promise seems to be to make the NHS and even brighter prospect for privatisation. He’ll sell it off by stealth, piece by piece, and then collect his backhander later when he’s well away from the limelight.

Just to mention the Chief Exec, he seems like he is doing what he does for the right reasons but who would trust somebody with a name that reminds you of a current conservative piss-ant.

I don't care whether the money goes to the NHS hospitals to treat the sick or to care homes to care for the elderly. But you seem to be suggesting it will go elsewhere; perhaps into the pockets of those who donate to the Conservative party.

There will be people who think there is nothing wrong with what happened to my mum, (who is now comfortable in AMU thanks) because Johnson is some kind of hero.

If and god forbid it doesnt happen to their mum's, will they still think the same.

I don't really want to make it a political argument, but the whole PFI expansion program under Blair goes a fair way to explaining the current mess with NHS funding.

That said, there is still an awful lot of waste at the top, and the way performance is measured across the board has no real bearing on the service delivered to the end user. I really don't know what the answer is, and even if we ripped it up and started again there would still be the same problems as UK population growth is currently outstripping the expansion of public services.
