A ‘new’ City?

I get the point being made tbh. It depends what you look for in football. Sure, those that enjoy the technical and tactical side of the game will love our style and matches.

If you're someone who primarily enjoys football for the drama and emotion, I can see why the meticulous, deliberate, metronomic passing may not be to some's liking.

And me, but anyone who knows football knows an art-form when they see one. It is like watching a boa-constrictor smothering its prey. To me it is both beautiful and mesmerising. It can also be cruel.

Over the last month or so we have taken apart Chelski, dippers and raggies. Let’s face it we have had some excellent press about the way that we have played. Even ratface has been eulogising on how good we are, ‘clones of David Silva etc, great academy and so on’. Add to that the public slagging off of the ‘media darlings’. Are we seeing a changing of the guard and a more favourable attitude towards us? Have they seen how we are attracting support, at last, for the football we are playing and we have a rapidly growing supporter base in spite of some of the media doing us down. Are we attracting more viewers on Sly and BT and hence the softening of their attitude towards us. I just sense this is happening.
I hope not!

It’s better knowing who really hates you than have people who pretend to like you.

I enjoy the negative shit, keeps being a City fan like a sub-culture and ensures we are never mainstream.

Sometimes it's not cruel enough though, it would be nice if we put more of our chances away

I love the way we play, its beautiful. Even against Palace, I still expected us to draw level right up to the last couple of minutes. Yes I wish we would convert a few more of our chances, but I think not doing that keeps me on edge and provides the excitement.

Last night I watched a talented PSG side visibly terrified of City. It is scary how we're playing at the minute. If we became more clinical in front of goal we'd easily gain the moniker of being 'unplayable' if we aren't there already.

I sometimes even think that the players have a special order not to take any active action until the end of the match. But it only seems like that, I could be wrong. It's just that when moments are missed, in which they usually act differently, it's all incomprehensible. But that's soccer, and that's why I love it!
