Its just off Greengate near British Aerospace so not even Middleton really. Its nearer to Moston / Blackley and is only about 3 miles from COMS.
yep pretty horrible, good job we have the best and friendliest fans in the world, imagine it on the forums of lesser clubs?JohnMaddocksAxe said:Can't say I have a particularly strong opinion on this matter, other than a lot of sympathy with people, anyone, who loses their job or can't continue due to circumstances beyond their control.
However, I think the opening poster is a bit misguided expecting any sort of human comments on here.
Most of the tossers on here would happily see every third City fan shot at dawn if they could guarantee that they weren't one of those being shot and it meant that gold taps were installed in the bogs or Wayne Bridge got a pair of new boots.
The amount of "it's progress, tough shit you ****s, deal with it" attitudes towards other City fans on display on a variety of subjects on here in recent months is ridiculous

Nail on the head. Its not the relocation thats the issue really. and people dont expect to be "cuddled" by their employer. Its just the way people have been treated with the whole sitution. I.E somebody who has worked there for 15-17 years and been taken into a room (out of the blue) and been told that they no longer work for the club that they love. And its also easy for people to slag off and say stuff like "its only up the road" but its quite an intimate thing to work for the club that u have loved and supported most of your life is nothing less than soul destroying. We're also aware that growth and redundancy is a fact of life, but the way it has come about and people have been treated is discusting. Kitbag is rather expensive by the way.....

Has the OP explained where his statement originated? Is there any hard proof that this is actually happening or is it another ITK/guy down the pub story? Perhaps we should ask ourselves that before we pass judgement on the club or anybody else linked to this for that matter.
With regards to the way people are treated by the club, COMS hasn't been around 15-17 years and I doubt that there were many in that portacabin that was the Maine Road shop! Generally warehouse and retail outlets have quite a regular turnover of staff so I doubt that this will be any different. The long term employees might be happy to jump ship - has anyone asked them? The contract with Kitbag could be better.
Don't assume that everyone is a City fan who works for the club either. Considering that there doesn't appear to be any posts from an employee on here. Maybe they aren't big fans of forums but its odd that there's nothing - no 'my mate works for, or my Son is an employee of'
Kitbag can't charge any more than £40 for an away shirt can they????
