No. Not all. But as stated before, mine did and I hate that fact. Indoctrination does start at home though. Luckily my parents were always there as moral compasses or anchors if you like and managed to provide me with balance.

this, my parents never really bothered with religion so I always had that neutrality and balance in my life.

If parents try and indoctrinate their views then that's when the kids become vulnerable.

In my opinion, except for exclusive religious state-maintained schools, no, schools do not teach the word of God. They teach about many religions, their traditions, customs and teachings etc. and do not endorse one over the other or over atheism, agnosticism, humanism etc. At the same time schools also teach big bang and evolution.

So when my 6 year old came home on friday and started saying that jesus was the son of god and a guy with a guitar has been singing to them and TEACHING them about the Bible, how on earth is that not erm teaching kids in mainstream schools?
