I hope that if a new design is indeed in the pipeline that someone will reach out to you from the club. I cannot imagine anyone they have working on it/will hire would do a better job than you have done in this thread.
I agree. I've hated our badge from day one. Gav should be brought in. Regarding the colours as long as the design is the same the colours can vary for me. I just can't decide which I like best which is my reasoning!!
Totally agree MB, I have never liked the current badge.
Give us back our true identity, heritage, and style.

Do people really give a shit that much about the crest. It is now part of the global marketing that is connected to the club do you honestly think it will get changed again. Maybe the club badge will remain with us and this thread will prove to be just that a talking shop. But in my limited experience companies do like to re brand their products especially if they are amalgamating with other companies.
When the current badge was chosen I don't for one minute think that the club as it was then thought they would end up where we are now and it seems with the New York franchise in particular and the suggestion other clubs may be added to the city group that a new design could not be used to represent not all the clubs in the group, but they would have familiar features.
I personally don't have anything against the current badge but it is always nice to think about what if.

Nited changed their club crest in 1998, didn't effect their 'global marketing'

Citreon, Air France, BT, Apple, Capital One, BP, Intel, Barclaycard, Walmart, Ducati, and Dubai International Airport.
Just some leading global companies that have changed their branding.
So remind me again, what have I not grasped?

chelsea changed their crest a few seasons into abramovich investment hasn't done them any harm, also the old badge has never gone away it's still sold on products in the shop, is used on banners/flags seen in the ground and so could easily be reinvented like gavs designs and brought into use, the current crest would still be a marketing tool also just like the old badge is now, so not really a smack your head against the wall moment is it

All of them were well established companies before they changed the logo. City are only just starting in the path for global brand recognition.
