He's missing the most obvious, which would be to work for them and get allsorts for nothing. I knew a lad who was the son of a main (if not the major) franchiser across West and South Yorkshire. I think McDonald's sometimes gets an unfair rep as an employment option, genuine progression is available there if you're willing to put in the grind.
