A day of ironies

Good post mate
And these 'fans', as you put it, have been regulars for years but their sense of entitlement is stopping them enjoy the ride
I would obviously never want us to lose. I would love us to shed a few of the dickheads in and out of the stadium though. Even if the seat counters over at the MUEN needed a new red marker.
I think our fans are what made us so well liked, I personally enjoyed the underdog role at school. Most of my mates were City and the better players on the play ground were all City. The United kids, as you'd expect all the gear and no idea. Bryan Robson shin pads, all their replica tat, could trap a bag of cement as they say. It was the banter with the City fans I enjoyed. At one point in our mid teens there were 11 of us with season tickets.

I love our fans in general. Just lately on here and unfortunately in the ground the number of dick heads is growing. Ya Ya's a lazy cnut Pellegrini's a shit cnut, Sterling's a faggot. I personally heard that vs Spurs. I won't even get on to Kolarov. It's frankly disgusting, I fully appreciate you're going to get the odd pissed up, coked up kids shouting shite but we're getting fully grown dick heads.

As I say, to read the pre match was appalling and I can say I was stunned. Those fans are the ones I beliebe don't deserve to enjoy our success. I'm not going to say I was at York away, but I have been to Doncaster for a pre season friendly, I've not been on a ferry to the Faroe Isles but I have got to Barnsley at half time with us already 2-0 up. That was on a 'date'. Weirdly enough not who I'm marrying.

If I come across as precious or obnoxious it's because I can stand Rags or Scousers slagging the club I've loved for nearly 30 years, so I'm not going to let supposed City 'fans' just spout their shite, now it's only a forum so I can only try and belittle them as there's little other way of dealing with them.

I have no issue with fans not liking the players I do, I have no issue with fans disagreeing with managers or players. This is a forum, discussion is what makes it tick. Take Ya Ya I'd happily agree that there are potential defensive frailties, that sometime his attitude is questionable. I'm happy to debate aspects of any players game. I've played at a decent standard, I was coached at City in the mid 90's. I've even played a few games for Sammy McIlroy. But I'm not going to debate weather Ya Ya is a fat lazy c#%t or weather our manager is a clueless old c#%t.

If I come across as obnoxious it's probably because I'm debating with someone swearing at me, calling me an idiot. At the same time calling our manager clueless, a man who been in football for over 50 years at the top level.
Excellent post. Maybe the thoughts of the silent majority ?. Johnny Crossan was my first City hero and I've heard 50 odd years of City bashing, and despite loving this forum, there is nothing that brings our club into disrepute more than our own "fans" crude and ignorant abuse of our players, staff and other forum members

Good post however worst goalkeeper ever ??

Perry Suckling
Eike Immel
Maybe Alex Williams that's debatable we have had some shockers mate
Even Richard Wright who never plays

I think you are probably right, there are some real gob shites around who shout everybody else down, their current rallying cry to have a go at those who call them out with the moniker 'bigger blue'.

Can I add Ron Healy, Keith 'kipper' McRae and an overweight Joe Corrigan (before he got back in the team) to that list?
Truly awful goalkeeping just in one season.

Points well made, good post

Most ironic of all
  • Liverpool fans singing YNWA;
  • Liverpool fan 3 minute fire drill with only 10%-20% staying behind to applaud their team picking up the losers medals.
New ending to the song required I think: "You'll never walk alone.... except when you lose."

Priceless.

Yes we've had worse keepers.

For me it would be:
2nd worst Wembley moment. Joe appearing instead of Costel for the Wigan Cup Final.

2nd Best Wembley moment(s). Willy's penalty shoot out display

Most Blues who criticised Willy have come on this forum to apologise so
IMHO it's time to move on with everyone getting behind the lads!
