A Great Time To Visit Turkey

The trouble with Turkey at the moment is the man in charge, Erdogan. On the world stage he always seems to be saying ' C'mon have a go if you think you're 'ard enough.'

Erdogan wants to destroy Ataturk's secular vision he implemented, and take the country back to the dark ages of religious rule.
He wants the tourists gone, regardless of the fact it's tourism that brings jobs and prosperity to those areas.

Anyone been to Turkey recently ? I've just filled in the entry form and saved it. It gives me a form with details but I thought you got an email or something with the QR code. Anyone know what the process is ? Is that it ? Just a form with details on it to print off ?

We went to Kalkan three years ago and found alcohol was relatively expensive
Some friends visited recently and went to one of the beach clubs
Sunbed hire, a light lunch and a couple of beers was £62, do if anyone is planning on visiting Kalkan (which is beautiful) and you enjoy a few beers, get budgeting for a couple of hundred quid a day

Can’t speak for Kalkan, never been, but I’ve been to Olu Deniz/hisaronu/ovacik 7 times with the last time being just before covid and you could have a 2 course lunch, with plenty of beers for about £20 per couple.
Cocktails in the bars at night were about 3 quid (albeit not the best quality spirits used), and a 3 course evening meal, with drinks, about £20 per head.

It's just a health card locator form. Once you submit it they have it on file in turkey. You don't need to do anything else. Just make sure you have your covid vaccination proof as the outbound airline requests it when you check in at the desk

I went to Istanbul the week before last. The form is all there is and I tried to hand it over at passport control and he waved it away. Less than no interest in it.
