Stop being so soft the lot of you please, if its the same stewards that were in there manhandling people at the wigan game, then maybe they should expect some retaliation back and for all you know the op could of just been told to do one by some bloke in the toilet and has blown all this out of proportion. As far as im concerned the stewards are bullies and i could tell you of incidents where they have given blokes uneccesary grief but would you be sticking up for those as strongly as you are for these jobsworth stewards? The toilets near block 111/110 are what i consider 'the smokers toilets' now if you dont like that then please just walk 20 yards to the next one! It's football not the opera sort yourselves for god's sake.

i really havent blown this out of proportion mate, why would some random guy tell me to do one? smoking isnt my issue here, to be honest it doesnt bother me as many of my mates smoke. this was pure bullying and just not nice to witness. you cant think every steward is the same just like the majority of city fans wouldnt behave like this.

PC doesn't exist to stop anybody smoking. It's not political correctness that got the anti-smoking laws, rules and regulations passed.

The club have no option but to ban smoking. They also have to enforce it, now more than ever.
The alternative is we have no beer, no food, no programmes and possibly even no fans.
Incidents like this reinforce the need to take a hardline. The softly, softly,turn a blindeye approach can't go on.
Sorry but smoking in COMS is banned by law, not by the club.
If you smoke, go outside to do it - leave at half time if you have to. But don't complain about being kicked out if you break the law. The asking nicely approach clearly hasn't worked, so the attitude will change and you will be thrown out.
Treating stewards like this is a fucking disgrace and shows once again that some people are too thick to reason with. You can't smoke in the stadium. How hard is that to understand?

there used to be some sort of unnoffical truce with the stewards which allowed those on the spiral to smoke at half time. a rule of common sense if you like as it is outdoors and did no one on the concourses any harm. seems a shame that they are clamping down on it now.

So if it was your mum, dad or brother as a steward you wouldn't mind them getting battered?
From now on the toilets you mentioned could get targeted.
