Whilst we are having one of our off topic rambles;

Tonights game is not being carried by any live streams that I can find but you can do it the old fashioned way if you like (from about 3am I think)

Thanks, strange to have play by play by an american.

Think your mixing him up with Stowell, we were in the second division between 87 and 89 and only played Liverpool once in that time at Maine Rd getting beat 4-0 withStowell in goal in the FA Cup 6th round.

My memory aint that good but the interweb's a magical tool ;o)

Ahh remember that game well was only 10 in the kippax it pissed down all game didn't Johnston get a couple

Whilst Ive had too many beers I'm prepared to bet anyone on this forum that Ron Green represented City on at east one occasion in a first team match (liverpool).

It was definatly stowell in net against dippers in the FA cup game

I've been through the legendary Gary James' book Man City The Complete Record and can't see any reference to Ron Green, but yes Mike Stowell was in nets against Liverpool in the FA Cup 6th round at home, when we lost 0 - 4 on March 13 1988

Lancs Blue - I distinctly remember him being humiliated when we played Liverpool away (like most years in that era)

I think he might be mxing him up with John "Budgie" Burridge... he played in the game at Anfield when we lost 5-2... I think!

Ooooooooooooooooooooooh it's quiet on here this morning, even for a Sunday. Please don't tell me you lot were as sad as me and actually listened to the commentary in the weeeee small hours.
If you did then you must agree that listening to yanks doing play-bye-play was a very sereal experience.

But well done the boys anyway.

I can't find a 2-5, Immel was in net for the 0-6 in the league and 0-4 in the cup - weaver was in for the 2-4 in the cup

Burridge was on the bench when we beat Liverpool 2-1 in 95 i think, dunno if he got on though.

December 27th. 1982... we lost 5-2 at Anfield.
