Are none of you paying attention!?!?!?!?

City have VEHEMENTLY DENIED any contact with Drogba or his agent. We're not interested in him...

Yes Billy.... but we have not denied that his agent did not contact us!

I think this is fairly clear

However, City's director of communications Vicky Kloss told the Times: "We can categorically state we have no interest in signing Didier Drogba and any suggestion of an approach is entirely without foundation."

There is no drogba story... why banging on about it... the club have vehemently denied any contact with advisors, agents or player... just move on and go back to the real business... so when is Kolarov ours? Balotelli? and I do would love us to get Dzeko... after that i would like us to come out and say we are done... that would be so funny... " now all other clubs can do business!"

Whoever thought 3 years ago MCFC would control the worlds football transfer markets!!!
All other clubs now are clambering to sign players only just in time for the new season.

Chelsea will crawl from under there stone now along with the Trafford scumbags touting for business.

With respect, there's no need to speak in riddles. City have clearly denied having any intention of signing Drogba. That's the end of it...

Every agent of every half decent player in the world has probably been in touch with us...

Sorry it was not meant to be a riddle.. I just agreed with you and suggested the same as you have just said - his agent has probably been trying to tout him to us and like the club said- go away we are not interested...

very carefully worded do you not think?

Football clubs are run by politicians. Everything has a bit of spin.

Think outside of the box. As Ajay said earlier in the post, the comment does not say the agent has contact Manchester City does it?

Cool bananas...

I think it's great, we have quashed the Drogba rumours so quickly. Everything about our club, seems to be getting more and more savvy. Walking away from clubs trying to hold us to ransom or stopping agents trying to ramp up their client's wages and contract lengths by using us as a stick to beat their current club.

Well done city!

That is absolutely clear..
- we have no interest in signing Didier Drogba.... (At this moment)?
- any suggestion of an approach is entirely without foundation.. (We didn't approach him as he's under contract, however his agent rep, following up on discussions in Jan 09...)

What is clear is that we have desired Drogba since jan 09... and he was close to signing back then..
