is it just me or does anyone think there is still a very big chance we are going to sign torres i know people have said we have pulled out of the running and we are not intrested anymore but this has always been the owners dream signing and with chelsea anouncining tonight that they won't be signing him and barca skint it just leaves us or he stays at liverpool and if we offer a sum they can't turn down say 60 mil i'm sure liverpool owners will be pushing him out of the door also there was the interview with noel where he went quiet when asked about torres. thoughts??

Chelsea are talking Bollocks to avoid a bidding war with City. Do you not know how it works in the transfer market ffs?

Do you not think, the whole "Terry" business, might have effected his form over the past 12 months, as I'm pretty sure stories like this take quite a while to go public.

I expect a much improved Bridge this coming season.

Yeah and to be fair the statistic about him making no successful crosses might have as much to do with our forward line and the way it plays as it does with him. I still maintain that he's only good enough to be back up though.

I totally agree, we're on the verge of the greatest season in god knows how many years. ( got to say I've enjoyed quite a few of the ones I've witnessed, even the really bad ones) and we're talking of having Garrido and Cunningham as serious back up? What if our new wonder LB (heaven forbid) breaks his ankle 1st week in Sept?

Its already been stated on the OS that RM is briefing players on rotation and for me that's exactly where Bridge sits, as he's able to give adequate / proven cover, unlike the other two who have question marks above them, all be it for very different reasons.
