A little bit of Benarbia Magic to cheer everyone up!

ITV Digital had gone bust by then so hardly any fucker saw that goal.

It didn't reach the wider audience a piece of genius like deserved.

That and his performance at Sheffield Wednesday will live long in the memory.

Too true!

That was my lad's first away game. I told him they weren't always like that!

I absolutely loved that Keegan side in Division 1. It was probably the most enjoyable City season i've ever experienced. Truely stunning football. Berkovic and Benarbia in midfield, Kevin Horlock holding, Niclas Jensen and SWP as wing backs with any 2 from Goater, Wanchope and Huckerby upfront in a 3-5-2. It was a great side at that level. One of the best that league has ever seen. Remember that Berkovic goal when he ran the full length of the pitch v Norwich, after Tiatto had got sent off? That Wanchope goal that went in off the post from about 30 yards (was it v Preston? Can't quite remember)? Remember absolutely dicking Burnley when they were up near the top challenging us? What a team that was.

Absolutely spot on
I remember all those games. We stuffed Burnley home and away that season when they were up with us.
The home game at the end of the season to cap it off when we beat a relegated team in red cant recall who ) Huckerby got a hat trick. ALi was immense that day too

This was definately my favourite ever season.

Coming over from Belfast, I only really get over about 6 tmes a season , ubt I always knew when I booked my flights that year I would be seeing a win.

Just remembered us beating Wolves at Easter 2 nil at their place to more or less clinch it too.

Loved it that year and that is why I cant understand why some City fans slag Keegan. He has his faults without question and I know it wasnt the top level, but that year was special

I will never forget it

Lets hope finally with the players we have now we can match it but at the top level

Didn't Huckerby score hat-tricks in consecutive home games towards the end of the season against Forest and Barnsley?

Most enjoyable season I've ever had in more than 30 years of watching City. You'd go to the match expecting we'd score at least 3 or 4 goals!

He did indeed
That was the team in red that I couldnt remember.

Forgot about the Forst hat trick too , surprising as I was over for it.

Forest was Easter Saturday, then Wolves on the Monday
What a weekend I had.

I was over staying with a friend in Milton Keynes from the Friday to the Tuesday and I persuaded him to drive me up to Manchester on the Saturday for the Forest game.

Good times

This also cheered me up!

I agree but I think the days where a slow body but quick mind coulget you by are numbered.

I'm not so sure ... Look at the AC Milan game tonight... Ronaldinho ran the game ... no legs but set two up and dominated.

Having said that he can't do a back heal chip !!! ... and neither can I ... I tried for years .
