A message of support to the City players ahead of Saturday..

Seize the moment , the time has come to banish 35 years of hurt and become legends for ever. We the fans cannot put into words what it would mean to us beat United in the FA Cup semi final, you can make history and make a lot of people not only in Manchester but in far flung corners of the world very happy.

Give your all and cherish the memory.

Come on City

The Victor by: C. W. Longenecker

If you think you are beaten, you are.
If you think you dare not, you don’t.
If you like to win but think you can’t,
It’s almost a cinch you won’t.
If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost.
For out in the world we find
Success begins with a fellow’s will.
It’s all in the state of mind.
If you think you are out classed, you are.
You’ve got to think high to rise.
You’ve got to be sure of your-self before
You can ever win the prize.
Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man.
But sooner or later, the man who wins
Is the man who thinks he can

I've been a City fan for ten years, since I was seven years old. It may not seem like a long time compared to a lot of other supporters but during that time I have cheered the team on in every single game in the most dedicated way that I could manage. Living in a small town in Ireland that hasn't always been easy. Everywhere I turn, there are United fans that taunt me for being a City fan (to which I just reply 'Fuck you.' ). Many of these people wouldn't be able to name a single United player apart from Rooney and would probably even say that Ronaldo still played for them.
Just today, I went onto one of my friends facebook pages and she had answered the question of 'Who do you support?' with Manchester United. She's never mentioned that she's a United fan to me before so I decided to ask her who they were playing tomorrow to which she said 'I thought teams only played every month or that, how would I know?'
You would have to search far and wide to find a City fan who wasn't completely dedicated to the club and didn't know every single player who played for us, including reserves. Sometimes I get tired of being a City fan, especially after derbys when all I get is shit off the 'United fans'. Then I remember that we are the ones who are going through a revolution, we are the ones who in years to come will be the top English club. Please lads, start this revolution tomorrow. The City fans who are singing at the top of their voices in the ground, watching the game on the television and those unlucky enough not to be able to watch the game at all will be forever grateful to you if you win this game. You have no idea how much this game means to us but all I ask is that you play with pride, effort and determination.
Have pride in battle. And beat the shit out of those cockney cunts!

Let's use this thread to show our support to the boys for Saturdays game. Tomorrow Ill send it to as many people at City as I can with the hope someone will pass it on to the players and staff.

So as a fan if you were giving that final speach before they walk on the pitch what would you want to say to them? Here's mine.....

Saturdays game is one of the biggest in my 35 years on this earth as a City fan, it is so much more than a game, winning this match against the enemy could be the catalyst for our club and be the start of hopefully the most successful period in our history. Win this and win the FA Cup then you all will go down in that history. We deserve this, 35 years is too long for a special club like us to be waiting for a trophy and the joy this one would bring to every one of us will be immeasurable. Battle boys, give everything you have got and leave everything out on the pitch, we will be behind you from the stands all the way and together we WILL be victorious. City Till We Die....

Dont read that to Big Nige before kick off ffs. He will be in their dressing room tearing their throats out before al ball is kicked.

Well said tho.

I was at Wembley in '81 for the 3-2 replay defeat and cried my eyes out as a 17 year old. This is an opportunity to begin a new era, a chance to make a statement of intent and the golden prize of an FA Cup Final appearance.

Our club is the beginning of a new chapter in their history. Let's begin writing it tomorrow.

Come on you Blues. City Till I Die.

Blue moon, you saw me standing alone..........................

I am not on 100k a week, not even close, but I would do it for free if I could get out there tomorrow, but I unfortunately can't, God chose you! You have been blessed with the 100k a week AND the chance to get out there tomorrow.....you are possibly the luckiest bunch of individuals in the world!

Go out, work hard, make us proud, and remember that one moment of magic could make you an instant legend, and a legend at City is NEVER forgotten.

I have had a tense, nervous headache all day, and will have until the game, that is what it means to me and thousands of others. It would be unreasonable to expect you to feel the same, but it is reasonable to expect you to share our hunger.

Good luck, God bless, make us proud.

I have shit loads of these on mine too. So, yes, please City, do us a favour!

Think of bastard Sunday Supplement. lads, and shove their United-Centric journo horse manure right back at where they belong ... dead in their collective, bollocks-mongering throat.
