We just dont believe in a higher being as there is zero proof. Just common sense really, we'll believe in a God when the evidence is there.

That's all well and good, and yes extreme far right are all muppets (nothing new there) as much as the far left, but many Muslims don't help themselves by pretty much segregating themselves and wanting their children (through faith schools) and women to have nothing to do with anyone of a different faith or no faith.
I think it's hard wired in to human psyche to be suspicious of groups that don't integrate
