if you are able to could someone tell us the chances of mark hughes "walking", my feeling is there may be a battle of wits going on at city, i want to know just who appointed brian marwood, was it hughes , cook or the owners?i feel this could be a conflict area, dont know why, i just do.my bet is marwood has ruffled some feathers and may have been behind the JC move.now if mark is'nt in total control i can see him doing one.

just my thoughts.

You seem to me you know more than most De Niro so is MH gonna be stuffed by christmas?

dont know mike, i think he has his feet firmly under the table, for now, i also think though that the owners will monitor everything about the club, including our the fans feel, like it or not hughes AND the players had better buck up and fast.which is why i asked what part marwood if playing in all this, i heard it was he who moved JC out, is he "over" hughes?if so will hughes put up with it, does he meddle in the first team affairs? i was hoping someone could confirm this. i admit i want it proved that hughes is not behind it all, as you know its the only thing you and i agree on, the treatment of jim and its affect on our future.

maybe i am clutching at straws, i dunno.

Hughes is completely in control of team affairs... Contracts etc... Marwood & Cook as far as I'm aware.

Danamy may be able to confirm how much control Hughes has...

I would be absolutely astounded if Marwood has anything to do with team affairs, or what I'd consider to be 'team affairs'. Nothing seems to imply that (quite the opposite) with team selection or anything so I'd cross that one off as complete bollocks personally. Contracts and stuff should be down to Marwood and co, they should also have a say intransfers IMO. We can't just let Hughes loose on whoever he wants to buy, sometimes someone has to say no (DAVID FUCKING BENTLEY)

I Speak to jim occasionally and he's never mentioned Marwood once. From what I can recall, I think there is someone else who has moved him out the way to Abu dabi!

Jobs for the boy'os

I have no insider knowledge, and my observations are purely my own, but i think MH is safer than a lot of people think.

The Arabs have made it clear in previous press statements that they belive firmly in a good management structure, and i think MH has impressed greatly with his calm "iron fist in the velvet glove" demeanour. The Cook / Hughes team comes accross as very able, adaptable and strong, and that ticks all the arabic boxes from a management prespective.

As someone posted in a previous Hughes in/out/shakeitallabout thread, he will live or die by on field results over a sustained period of time. If it does come to it, it will not be a knee jerk expulsion, just the weight of poor results which will do him in.

Nope! He was judging a competition for Digicel where the prize was a week with city.
