A question to the Bosnians.

This is one page on Facebook supporters of Manchester City in Bosnia, called Bosnian citizens

Don't believe anyone will set MC fan club in Bosnia. Support your local football club! :)

Why not, when we could set up Arsenal supporters club, I'm sure there will be
people to do the same with MCFC SC.

deffo possible...well an everton supporters club (rather unofficial one which I'm a member off) has been founded, and there are only a few of us...and everton don't get much coverage apart from the derby v the red shite...which will be on very soon...

Having Dzeko in your team, sports personality of the year, National Sports Idol twice in a row, unicef representative, national team hero, will make it all much easier to set up a supporters club...yesterday was like a holiday here, it usually happens only when our national team plays...you could hardly see any football crazed people out, they were all in front of the tv...I left work earlier so I could watch the match...and many other Bosnians felt the same...to answer the question of how big or popular is he here...well I guess he is The Most Popular personality (from a positive stance) in our country....

Saw quite a few Bosnians today, really friendly and nice people. From what they talk about, Dzeko is held in the highest esteem in Bosnia.

We have a choice of 3-4 channels to watch the Premiership, so people who want to watch a particular team (MCFC in this case) could, even before Džeko transfer.
But I'm quite sure the national TV will now show City whenever they can.

The Džeko-related-insanity in this country is now almost a confirmed mental illness, I swear. It's been wild for a year or two now (a short spell of Ibišević-related-insanity hit us before that), but now it's just worse than bird flu, swine flu and mad cow disease combined.

You'll hear a lot more Bosnian on your stands in the days to come, trust me :)

Forgive my ignorance, but how popular is he in Bosnia? Is he the current 'biggest' player from Bosnia? Is he one of the biggest ever? (By biggest I mean most popular and high in importance, we all know he's tall as fuck!)

He is by far most popular player in my country. And one of the biggest ever already (at the age of 24).

Was voted Bosnian nation idol twice in a row.

@FeedTheGoat10

at the moment he is the most popular player, for sure. but to become one of the bosnian legends he has to reach much more then only one national titel (german bundesliga winner).
Hasan Salihamidzic for example won the title six times, the league cup four times and also he won the champions league in 2001 with Bayern Munich.
of course edin is on the right way and he has got a lot of time left but to reach the success of Salihamidzic will be really difficult but possible

i know, we are not the "biggest" football nation and therefore ill give u some player names, so u can check out something about them

-Hasan Salihamidzic (HSV, Bayern Munich, Juventus; still active player at Juve)
watch his goal against the rags in 1998, at 3:29 :)

-Sergej Barbarez (Velez Mostar, Hansa Rostock, Dortmund, HSV and Leverkusen, was the national team captain)

-Elvir Bolic. he is still the top scorer of the national team with 22 goals
he also scored a beautiful goal against the rags :)

as u see, our bosnian players always score against the rags :D

as u know, edin also scored against the rags. twice

the first one

and the second goal

there are few more really good and famous players like Pjanic, Ibisevic or Misimovic (current players)

My whole family was watching city - wolves at saturday, even my mom who never watching football, the whole town, whole bosnia are now sympathetic to fc city but still our national hero is Sergej Barbarez, because he plays with the heart for his country and has the guts to say something against the mafia in our soccer federation.
