I have to say, this thread and the response from Blues wanting to take out an ad in gazetta has made me feel bad about what i said about mancini's ad. i think this is a really cool and classy thing to do which shows i shouldn't have been such a cynical twat about mancini doing it.

There's a lot of emotion running high due to the uncertainty which is inevitable when transitioning to a new manager. I'm looking forward to the transfer window and a clean slate next season. We will say goodbye to this season tomorrow and our former manager.

And then we focus on taking back our title.

Tomorrow is the end to three amazing seasons. The foundations have been laid, the hoodoo lifted and next season could/should/will see the dawn of a new era. That period starts August and whoever is the manager, he will get my support ( I have a feeling the decision to replace Bobby will be seen to be the correct one) but I can't get past the fact that Mancini gave us those amazing times so for me tomorrow,for one last time,is his.

Yes exactly, if City fans didn't take out a full page advert in an Italian newspaper it would undoubtedly be poor manners.

Some of our fans want to thank him back. I'm not getting involved, but I don't see a problem in others doing so.
Why wouldn't you want to thank the manager, who gave us our first trophies in generations, regardless of how it all ended?

Yes there is nothing wrong with a thank you, but we've had suggestions of rewording chants, applause's at certain times of the match tomorrow, banners and now an advert in an Italian newspaper. Bit OTT.
